The ministry in Cuba began with an invitation from the Church. A fact-finding visit and initial training of Members targeted for Cuba, was made. In 2011, three Members from Malta with some trepidation but with unreserved trust in providence, set out for Cuba establishing themselves in the parish of Sagua le Grande.

The Spanish language had to be learnt and mastered and connections had to be made.

MISSION TODAY

While it is still early days in Cuba, all Members are gainfully employed. The Members provide a ministry that is flourishing. This does not present too many difficulties or challenges as the people are open and appreciative of their faith. Devotions play an important role in the day-to-day expressions of the faith with a particular connection to La Virgen de la Caridad del CobreĀ whose image is to be found in every church throughout Cuba.
