Men and women join the Society of Christian Doctrine in an ‘Incorporation Ceremony’ where they resolve to be Christ-like especially by being loving, meek and humble. They also commit themselves to live by the SDC Rule. Leading to incorporation is a period of seven years of internal formation and training. Emphasis is placed on Scripture Study, Spirituality of St George Preca and other areas of Theology and Church teachings.
A particular emphasis is also given to teaching methods in portraying the faith as many Members take on a role as catechists, youth leaders and mentors for young people.
Men and women who choose to live as Members of the Preca Community pursue their own working professions and careers while remaining available to carry out the apostolate after work hours.
Members earn and manage their own finances. They financially support all ministries and the centres of the Preca Community.
